-Gained knowledge of early child development, assessment principles and evidence-based early intervention methods for challenging behaviors in young children by working in conjunction with the Early Childhood Mental Health Consulter (ECMHC).-Adjusted strategies during the ECMHC’s ongoing assessments in local child care centers so that treatment goals for children and child care providers could be reached effectively. Worked very closely with the Parent Liaison for Non-profit organizations in our community to plan activities and events for special need children and families.-Worked with families and young children from diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds.

-Worked with children of all ages with developmental disabilities such as Down’s syndrome, Schizophrenia, Cerebral Palsy and numerous kinds of Autism. -Developed teamwork skills and interpersonal relationships while working with fellow counselors, campers, directors, and campers’ families. -Gained knowledge on how to identify and help the needs of children and adolescents with autisms and disabilities.
