I taught elementary school for 5 years and then transitioned to teaching teachers and school leadership about data and using data, now I am back in the classroom for my 10th year of teaching. I am currently teaching 4th grade. In my data management role I worked with school leadership, classroom teachers, special education staff, and intervention teachers to help collect and manage data, make instructional decisions, and develop curriculum based on data. In my classroom teacher role, I develop lesson materials, assessments, and curriculum to engage students, differentiate for various levels of ability, and work with other staff and parents to deliver and execute the best possible education for students. Other areas of exploration included designing and developing a Language Arts and Social Studies curriculum for the 5th grade, implementing a new extracurricular activity for multiple grade levels, I worked as the Gifted and Talented coordinator for three years, and serving on the Personal Learning Community (PLC) facilitator board. During that time I attained my Master's Degree in Leadership Education - Organizational Development with an emphasis on Data-Based Decision Making. Recently I am again a PLC facilitator as well as a coach for Knowledge Bowl and Math Wizard groups. I have developed, implemented, and managed several curriculum and assessment changes in various subjects. I am a 2011 college graduate and my education degree has provided me with the ability to strengthen and sharpen my abilities and learn more about myself. My mathematics concentration has provided me with many opportunities to strengthen my problem-solving skills and explore creative solutions. I am a dedicated individual with skills in communication, problem-solving, and technology integration. I am looking for a job that challenges me and provides an opportunity for me to showcase my abilities.
