My job was to develop meaningful relationships with Lettie Pate Whitehead Scholars, empower them to take ownership of their pathways at Berry College as they prepare for a life of impact, and support them in navigating and overcoming any issues that could affect their ability to be successful. My responsibilities included:• Develop and implement program requirements, curriculum, and scholar support (including orientation, workshops, and community service)• Guide 80 students through a series of goal-oriented one-on-one meetings related to academic performance, personal development, and career exploration• Train and oversee a student leadership team in the management of daily operations, delivery of programming, community-building and mentoring between scholars, and coordination of monthly community service • Collaborate with other scholarship coordinators on campus, Admissions staff, and Financial Aid staff in the selection of Lettie Pate Whitehead Scholars

The Posse Foundation is a comprehensive college success and leadership-development program that identifies, recruits, and trains outstanding young leaders from public high schools and sends them in groups of 10, or "posses," to top colleges and universities across the country with full-tuition scholarships.
