The Advising and Student Success Coordinator provides leadership and oversight for campus academic advising functions. The Coordinator reports to the Dean of Advising and collaborates with staff in the Student Affairs, Academic Affairs, Financial Aid, and Workforce Solutions departments to create an environment in which students are intentionally engaged in the academic advising process, including but not limited to the development of appropriate career and personal goals, selection of an appropriate academic program, and selection of courses.

Facilitates intrusive and follow-up advisement, in a proactive manner, for Tidewater Community College students with the intent and goal of increasing continued retention of all students, and those students required to maintain expected levels of academic performance in their course of study.
