Through rapid growth, global expansion and signficant business, technological, and regulatory changes, provided legal and strategic guidance to the company and its stakeholders. Revitalized the global legal, compliance, and enterprise risk functions, for which I had full accountability. Partnered with other business teams to scale the business for growth while mitigating risk. Served on numerous affiliated U.S. and international boards. Prior to joining TCW, I was a partner and head of the debt finance practice at Irell & Manella, promoted to co-chair of the corporate and transactional group. I advised companies on financing and other complex transactions, and key corporate decisions. Prior to joining Irell, I worked with growth-oriented companies from start-ups through IPO to Fortune 500, at Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich & Rosati. I earned my BA at Princeton University and my JD at UC San Francisco Law, f/k/a Hastings College of the Law. I have been included in The Legal 500's GC Powerlist, listing the most influential lawyers in business in the United States since 2019. In 2021, I was named by the American Registry to America’s Most Honored Lawyers. I served as Chair of the Steering Committee of SIFMA’s Asset Management Group from 2020 -2022, and as Chair of the SIFMA AMG Leadership Council 2021-2022. I am a member of the Los Angeles Women’s Leadership Council. I have been named as one of the Best Lawyers in America, Best Attorneys in Los Angeles, and Preeminent Women Attorneys. I have been recognized by Chambers USA, selected for inclusion in Southern California “Super Lawyers” by Los Angeles Magazine each year from inception while I was in private practice, and received an AV Preeminent rating, the highest rating for ability and ethics, from Martindale Hubbell each year since 1998. I am a fellow of the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers and a member of the Board of Governors of the Financial Lawyers Conference. I have served in numerous leadership roles in the Business Law Sections of both the American Bar Association and the California Bar Association, and have guest-lectured at Stanford University Law School and UC Law San Francisco. I have been awarded the ADL Jurisprudence Award. I am passionate about building for growth. My interests include my family, travel, food and wine, and vintage cars.
