We all will lose a loved one and experience grief. What no one ever talks about is the journey through grief years after the loss. My dad died when I was 16 after a 10 month battle with cancer. For the last nearly two decades my journey with grief has been a continuous roller coaster filled with wonderful and terrible moments. Fresh out of college, I built two public relations programs from the ground up. By working with the McDonald's owner/operators, McDonald's regional staff and local media, I grew their local media presence by leaps and bounds. I pitched stories to national and local media organizations, worked with CNBC on a documentary feature, created and ran Twitter accounts for the two co-ops and developed many successful media relations campaigns.
