Planned and organized our Take it to the House Basketball Tournament, where we raised $13,000 for the Ronald McDonald House. I was responsible for event promotion, team recruitment, chapter participation, and sponsorship sales. We more than doubled previous years' dollar amount.Planned and organized our Fall event, Pie a Pi. The chapter raised over $7,000 for the Ronald McDonald House. I was responsible for chapter participation, ticket sales, and booking the venue. We more than doubled last year's dollar amount. Over the course of the past two semesters we raised over $20,000 for the Ronald McDonald House.

I was one of fifty students throughout the South East selected to receive the Congress Bundestag Youth Exchange scholarship. I spent the year living with a host family in Murnau, Germany and attended the local high school. I was completely immersed in the culture and am now fluent in the German language.
