I joined Parker, Pollard and Brown (as it was then known) as a summer associate between my second and third years of law school. I cleverly volunteered for assignment in several essential cases which couldn't possibly be completed by the end of the summer; then left all my case notes inscribed in mirror-encrypted hieroglyphs which could only be deciphered by me (and possibly Alice - but only while standing on her head, looking backwards through the looking glass). Having rendered myself indispensable, I spent a good part of my third year of law school performing work for the Firm on a contract basis and joined full-time following graduation. In the eighteen years since, I worked my way through the Firm's partnership track (weathering the Great Recession, and it's impact on the Firm's real-estate-centric practice) along the way. I became a non-voting shareholder in 2012, and a year later was elevated to a position as a full-equity/voting shareholder and director. Upon becoming a voting shareholder, I was additionally named General Counsel (lawyer for the law firm) and served as corporate Secretary.Since January of 2017 I have served as General Counsel and Administrative Director (where I supervise the Firm's Executive Director and administrative staff, and oversee all non-practice matters for the Firm - including human resources, payroll and benefits, and facilities management).
