We do full refurbishment projects to give historical real estate a new future.We own 3 historical buildings nobody believed in anymore: a small castle "Pinehurst Manor", a former Convent and a building that used to be a small factory. I'm proud to say that I was able to give a new future to the first two historic buildings and it's a luxury that this now contributes to reaching "financial freedom". We rent out seminar rooms as well as 26 apartments. Since July 2008 our offices are regrouped in the convent. I also live in a wing of the convent. I became a co-owner of this training institute, in an attempt to build an international organization called "Integral Perspectives", which would be the European branch of the Integral Institute and thus bring the Integral Vision of Ken Wilber to Europe. Our plan was ambitious and involved bringing many international thinkers to Europe. Unfortunately, due to the dot com crisis most of the expected venture capital promised to the Integral Institute didn't "materialize", which forced Repère to go back to its basics. To allow me to focus my energy on jobEQ.com, we attracted new partners, including Jean-Luc Monsempès, who ran the institute till 2016 before passing on the baton. -
7 Steps To Emotional IntelligenceAuthor Nov 1997 - Jun 1999In 1997 I decided to write a response to Danial Goleman's book "Emotional Intelligence". Where Goleman's book showed that EQ was important, it was lacking in the area of giving answers on how to increase one's EQ. Increasing EQ is exactly what "7 Steps to Emotional Intelligence" is all about.The materials in the book were "field tested" in an evening-class of 7 sessions over 7 weeks (hence the "7 Steps") as well as in several 2-day workshops inside organizations. The results of the test were satisfactory, showing that my training program could increase EQ with at least 10% on average. The initial book was written in Dutch with Rudy Vandamme as co-author, with him adding non-business examples (my focus has mainly been business related). Later on, I worked with Denis Bridoux to expand the book (first for the English edition, then for the French edition). Meanwhile the book is available in over 10 languages.Nowadays, from time to time I still teach a 2-day workshop on Emotional Intelligence based on the book (mostly in-company training). Based on recent classes, I wrote a sequel with Rachel Colas, entitled "Vivre ses émotions" (currently in French only)

Most of these projects were linked to some kind of re-engineering effort where the critical knowledge of the organization had to be available to more people. I was also part of the management team with responsibilities as Human Resources, Quality Management and the organization of the office. In our projects, I often made use of "expert systems software", such as the AionDS software (developed by Trinzic, which was acquired by Platinum Technologies, which in turn was acquired by Computer Associates).
