CurrentMost recently I have helped to migrate Trainline's CDN from Akamai to Amazon CloudFront. The migration was conducted without downtime. I designed and implemented an automated testing strategy to verify the migration. I helped to design a safe, incremental deployment approach.I helped to migrate our code repositories from an on-premise GitHub Enterprise installation to GitHub Cloud. I wrote software to safely orchestrate the migration of the repositories and find and update dependent continuous integration pipelines. I drove the adoption of Packer to build the VM images for our TeamCity agents and the use of TeamCity features to provision agent VMs from these images on demand.I have also worked on our in-house developer platform, Environment Manager.I am called on to investigate production incidents from time-to-time, where I use a scientific approach to reach conclusions. A couple of successes include diagnosis of a Linux virtual-memory issue that resulted in disk thrashing and an issue with SSH signature validation that required a JVM update on our TeamCity agents. I have also diagnosed issues with unfamiliar systems including resolving a failure of our on-prem Artifactory instance.I have also worked on miscellaneous utilities to facilitate integration of our source repositories, CI systems and Environment Manager.
