About Merry Nemeth
About me...well, I think it all started when I was young(er) and in Girl Scouts where I developed a strong sense of self, I was able to demonstrate positive values, seek new challenges, solve significant problems in the community, and establish healthy relationships. I learned early in life that I loved to plan, loved to organize, loved to think ahead and loved to solve problems. I have always been inquisitive, wanting to always learn more. I remember taking my moms old record player apart to figure out why it was not working; and I fixed it! The satisfaction I got out of that is still how I feel today when I solve problems and I meet goals.Fast forward to current day; I still like tinkering and learning new things; now it is home remodeling projects that I decide to get myself into. The last project, remodeling 2 bathrooms, included moving walls and reconfiguring the layout. Oh the fear one has when they decide to cut into a wall to move it, but with the right planning and execution, my project was a success (and I stayed within my personal budget).I am extremely lucky that I work in a field that aligns with my personality of being a planner, a organizer, a person that likes to reach goals and find new goals to conquer. I have over 25 years of managing people, projects and budgets in various industries: construction, warehousing and IT. This type of work is my passion. I truly enjoy the application of knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to successfully manage project activities to meet the project requirements and the clients needs; along with my own successes in my personal projects.I hold a bachelors degree in project management and an associate degree in accounting. This combination allows me to better understand and manage cost on the project.Outside of work I enjoy photography (my banner photo of the Skyway Bridge), music, camping, watching sunsets and enjoying time with my dog.

This provided a Project Managers perspective early in the project planning; I utilized lessons learned and expert knowledge leading to more accurate bidding which leads to more successful projects. I was the Subject Matter Expert of building preparation, creating project plans for other project managers as necessary. As the assigned Project Manager I utilized all five process groups: Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring and Controlling and Closing of the project and I followed the 10 knowledge areas of project management: Integration, Scope, Time, Cost, Quality, Human Resource, Communications, Risk, Procurement and Stakeholder engagement.Key Project: Fender Guitar - Plan/execute closing of 1 warehouse and plan/execute start-up of new warehouse simultaneously in a 6-month period. The coordination efforts for this project was extensive; very detailed communication and planning was key to the success of the move. This included the build out of the new warehouse with security (inside and outside), racking, office buildout, data connections, data lines, electric requirements, software implementation of the Warehouse Management System; many moving parts.
