Each requires different project tasks and milestones.Heavily engaged in SIT and UAT1/UAT2 testing and managing the Go Live activities for cutover. Once cutover was completed, managing daily hypercare meetings, recording and managing any issues was imperative to the ongoing success of the warehouse. Direct, coordinate, build and provide oversight to a wide variety of projects. This includes internal (building preparation) build out of a distribution facility, relocations and internal corporate projects. This provided a Project Managers perspective early in the project planning; I utilized lessons learned and expert knowledge leading to more accurate bidding which leads to more successful projects. I was the Subject Matter Expert of building preparation, creating project plans for other project managers as necessary. As the assigned Project Manager I utilized all five process groups: Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring and Controlling and Closing of the project and I followed the 10 knowledge areas of project management: Integration, Scope, Time, Cost, Quality, Human Resource, Communications, Risk, Procurement and Stakeholder engagement.Key Project: Fender Guitar - Plan/execute closing of 1 warehouse and plan/execute start-up of new warehouse simultaneously in a 6-month period. The coordination efforts for this project was extensive; very detailed communication and planning was key to the success of the move. This included the build out of the new warehouse with security (inside and outside), racking, office buildout, data connections, data lines, electric requirements, software implementation of the Warehouse Management System; many moving parts. This required team commitments with the finance division (assistant controller & project accountant) to support the project managers, area managers, regional managers, & president to assure that all contracts were administered according to company policy & procedure by utilizing SharePoint for document flows. Projects ranged from $50k to $15mil. Revenue for the Track Services division in 2014 was over $80mil.
