Country Programme Coordinator / Advisor - Uganda

CDK is a humanitarian and development organization and member of the Caritas confederation working in 165 countries. TASK & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Management and advisory of humanitarian, development and nexus-based interventions (HUM-DEV-PEACE) in Uganda / South Sudan with local leadership as pivot, including responsibility for budget, planning, implementation, ME, and exit strategies.• Building strong collaboration and coordination with local implementing partners; capacity-building of partners. • Project-Cycle-Management – providing technical advisory in all phases of a project life cycle and ensuring programme implementation in accordance with project plans, donor requirements, international standards, and organisational strategies and policies.• Technical programming and advisory in: Civil Society Development, Food Security & Livelihood, Children & Youth, Advocacy, Peacebuilding, Gender, Agricultural Cooperatives, and Environment/Climate.• Applying Core Humanitarian Standards (CHS) and Caritas Internationalis Management Standards (CIMS). • Grant management of CDK’s largest country engagement, technical SPA negotiations and reporting to DK MFA. • M&E of programmes; Experience with digital data collection tools, baseline, evaluations, learning studies, institutional capacity assessments. Annual review meeting for staff and beneficiary reps (80+ pers.) in Uganda. • Ensuring high quality financial & narrative reports, collaboration with financial compliance officers and controllers.• Contributing to project proposals using TOCs and RFs. • Frequent monitoring visits to Uganda (30-60 D/Y) - Proven ability and willingness to work in challenging environments.• Planning of delegation visits by the Danish Embassy and high-level management of CDK in collaboration with local partners. Planning of SDG-promotional visit for students and teachers.
