Driven by a lifelong commitment to social justice, I embarked on a journey fueled by a burning question: why does so much suffering persist in the face of abundant resources and intelligence? Armed with academic excellence, I initially pursued civil engineering at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, hoping to effect change through a nationally recognized degree.However, it didn't take long for me to realize that my true passion lay in understanding and addressing social issues. This realization led me to switch to social work, throughout my academic journey, I immersed myself in social research, recognizing that the knowledge needed to drive change didn't yet exist and must be created.Upon completing my studies, I entered the professional arena, initially drawn to the University of Chile's Nucleus for Research on People in Conflict with Justice. This role marked the first instance where I could meld my research skills with practical application. As the responsible party, I united students with public and civil society institutions, creating applied knowledge through collaboratively designed research methodologies.Eager to make a more direct impact, I transitioned to public administration, joining the Ministry of Housing for nearly four years. Starting as an analyst, my role involved methodological research and citizen participation, with travels to regions and fieldwork. Progressing to an advisory position, I honed my management skills, navigating constant troubleshooting and engaging politically with authorities. Subsequently, I became the head of citizen services during the pandemic, a pivotal challenge successfully managed with a dedicated team despite most offices being closed.Post a government transition, I embraced the world of independent consulting, offering support to companies in community relations and public innovation. My journey, albeit with its twists, has consistently been driven by a passion for justice, social change, and a relentless pursuit of understanding and solving complex problems.My current goal is to steer my career towards corporate sustainability, an arena where strategic expertise and a commitment to positive change align seamlessly. Equipped with a Master's in Sociology and an Innovation diploma, I am well-prepared to contribute substantively to the evolving landscape of corporate sustainability.
