My long-term research goals are:1) To make a significant contribution to our understanding of how stem cells and their derivatives differentiate in culture,2) To uncover molecular mechanisms by which cellular heterogeneity in this process might regulate / be regulated by cellular differentiation, and3) Form and test models of how this information can be employed to promote cell-based regenerative therapies.My short-term goals in this process are:1) Continue to publish and present findings from my current stem cell research projects2) Develop my current stem cell projects into more extended research plans and attract additional grant funding; and3) Develop my lab's stem cell research program through collaboration and interaction with other investigators to attract additional national attention.Specialties: Gene expression profiling, developmental genomics, embryology, genetics, experimental design and data analysis, research administration
