Tasked with performing extensive contract review to determine issues of compliance, insurance coverage, and indemnification in landlord/tenant and construction matters. Regularly required to make court appearances and conduct depositions, as well as to assist in management/guidance for junior associates.

Associate attorney to one of the partners in the New York, NY branch of MSZLM. I was required to assist both him as well as the other partners in the firm in handling various matters, including bodily injury, property damage, labor and construction law, and contract law. I was regularly required to appear in court on conferences, motions, and hearings, as well as conduct depositions. I also drafted various pleadings and performed extensive contract review to determine insurance coverage and compliance issues.

In this position, I was in-house counsel to Tri-State Consumer Insurance Company, where I handled a combined caseload of over 300 files, including bodily injury, property damage, no-fault, landlord-tenant, coverage, and insurance contract matters. I received extensive experience in all aspects of case management, as I was responsible for day to day management of each case, including supervision and instruction of per-diem attorneys, and regular reporting to claims representatives and general counsel. I was also required to appear for depositions, motion arguments, hearings, and arbitrations, as well as prepare and take cases to trial.

Litigation attorney; handled general liability, bodily injury, property damage, uninsured and underinsured motorist claims, and No-Fault matters, in all stages of litigation from preparation of Answers through trial as well as appellate practice. Received extensive experience in handling depositions, motion arguments, arbitrations, and preparation of pleadings.

Intern working under United States Attorney Charles Wisdom. Participated in various aspects of federal appellate practice, including mock arguments, drafting of memorandum and appellate papers, and trial record reviews. Visited the Sixth Federal Circuit to observe appellate arguments.

Intern for the Kentucky equivalent of the DA's office. I performed legal research as well as prepared memorandums for various criminal matters. I was also able to observe deposition, hearing, and trial work with the Commonwealth Attorney at the time, Tim Cocanougher.
