Led multiple teams in creating the new InMoment platform. Consisting of 10+ web apps. Following the most modern development practices we went from initial UI design to app architecture (front-end and back-end) to a sizable suite of new tools. This platform is the foundation of everything InMoment is working towards. It is a primary factor that has gotten InMoment into the Leader category of the Gartner Magic Quadrant and the Forrester Wave. Primary advocate for moving into diversified AWS services to speed development and reduce operational costs. Starting with architecting new features as AWS native using things like Lambda, SQS, S3, and DynamoDB. Which has grown into identifying better solutions for existing infrastructure and addressing that technical debt. These together not only reduce cost of existing infrastructure but also reduces the cost of developing new features.Enforced enterprise best practices on process, code, and the SDLC. From planning and ticket hygiene on the process side to coding standards including testing, formatting, and best practices on the development side. This has made my teams the top performers in the company on all metrics; speed, stability, and reportability.Provided regular developer trainings on many modern development topics. This provided a venue to keep devs up to date on the latest development trends and keep everyone on the same page on development practices.Built highly capable teams. I have had great success selecting good hires that are trainable. Generated migration action plan to convert a 17 year old TFSVC monolithic code base into 250+ git repositories. The plan included ideation, proof to concepts, trainings, and creation of new tooling (both build/deploy tooling and dev tooling). Once completed we saw code velocity increase, code conflicts decrease, and improve overall stability.Defined best practices and coding standards for core technologies used in the platform. This required mediating opinionated developers and settling on standards everyone would get behind. Once defined these standards increased code velocity and improved the efficiency of code reviewers.Managed relationships for 3rd party technical integrations. One key integration was for creating a process to e-prescribe controlled substances. This feature was very complex because of government regulations around controlled substances which differ federally and by state. This feature saved a large portion of AdvancedMD's business that would have been lost as states restrict prescribing. Created warehouse management systems. After identifying pain points and holes in the offerings from the ERP system I built out tools for managing the warehouse. This had a major impact on the speed of the warehouse filling orders, as well as reducing costs that were being incurred by paying for expensive ERP modules that were falling short.Architected ERP integrations. After the success of the warehouse tool suite I turned to creating solutions for the accounting and sourcing departments. They required specialized tools from data warehousing to predictive analysis. This type of tooling required some tighter integrations with the ERP system and enhanced their workflows by providing the desired custom functionality directly in the ERP.Directed the switch to a 3rd party shipping provider. When it was decided to outsource the warehouse and cut costs associated with running a warehouse. I led the integration work between American Crafts and the shipping provider. With the strict shipping needs of our clients from specific packaging rules to EDI requirements there was significant need for integrating the systems.
