Game design and storytelling has been a long time passion of mine. At a young age I was making paper card and board games and bringing them to school for all my classmates to play. I started at UOIT in Game Development & Entrepreneurship, finding their program from a short lived Canadian games magazine made of tissue paper 5 years prior to my attendance. After my first years of studies I came to realize that I never considered other options and wanted to broaden my perspective, so I switched studies to the University of Manitoba to study Psychology, Film, and anything else that peeked my interests. After graduation I traveled to the UK, were I met local London independent developers between my time waiting tables and serving beer in pubs. I explored Scotland and met with their local game industry representatives and students at the University of Abertay in Dundee. After coming back to Canada, I decided that I could not see myself wanting to work in any other industry and have made it a personal goal to be working professionally in game development within 2-3 years.Since then I participated in the local Winnipeg independent game development scene and worked with other creatives in game jams. I attended the 2016 Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, registered my own studio and worked on Gokstad: Norse Strategy over the course of a year to completion. After moving to Montreal, I began work at Square-Enix and formed an independent studio called Rusted Delusion, in which I released our first title after a year and 4 months of development called On The Flip Side. That journey eventually led me to Larian Studios, where I merge gameplay and narrative and continue to grow and refine my craft, leaving my mark on the industry and am always looking for new relationships to foster and opportunities to garner in the fantastic world of game development.
