Performed custom development, provided developer advice, and production support for company clients designing and implementing custom applications based on open source Jetty Servlet Container. Monitored open source issue tracking system and mailing lists and resolved bugs and added new features to the Jetty open source project.• Designed and coded enhanced JMX management infrastructure, added monitoring feature. • Developed and implemented new SSL Engine context and SSL certificate configuration.• Enhanced and rationalized HTTP request statistics information gathering and retrieval.• Improved and maintained IP address based security handler.

Performed custom development work for company clients designing and implementing custom applications based on Jetty open source project. Contributed several patches for urgent issues in Jetty Application Server and Jetty Http Client module. All work has been done in Java using JUnit for unit testing.• Designed and coded a Wagon module using Jetty Http Client for Apache Maven 2.2.x build management system.

Following the acquisition of Mobius Management Systems, Inc., continued participating in DocumentDirect for the Internet development and maintenance. In addition to the functions performed at Mobius, provided level three product support for the customer service organization as well as the key clients.• Developed and coded the enhancements to JTree-based component of the UI applet to make the processing completely event-driven, reducing the code base of the component by 30% and greatly improving maintainability.• Designed and implemented printing of PDF documents using Adobe Acrobat Browser Helper object.• Efficiently resolved significant number of complex customer support incidents, while serving as an after-hours product support contact for the customer service team, significantly reducing customers' production down-time.

As part of the product development team, designed, developed, coded and maintained DocumentDirect for the Internet, a web-based user interface component of the Enterprise Content Management suite of products, representing the top two tiers of a three-tier architecture, that was marketed under ViewDirect Total Content Management brand. It is an integral part of all solutions that had been developed for the customer base that included over 60% of Fortune 100 companies.• Participated in the entire lifecycle of development of the product as a senior contributor, as well as informal team leader on larger projects. Coordinated the work of an off-shore AIX development team to ensure compliance with coding standards and procedures, as well as to review the code changes before they were merged in the main product branch. Assisted the Product Support team in resolving most complex incidents.• Discovered and fixed major security vulnerabilities of both Java and C++ modules in response to security audits.• Implemented support for JBoss AS, adding popular open source J2EE application server to the support matrix. • Resolved application server specific issues, including application configuration as well as compatibility issues with IBM WebSphere, Oracle Weblogic, JBoss AS, JRun, Apache Tomcat, and load balancing equipment. • Developed and coded the signal processing facility in the native code of application server component on Sun Solaris platform using C++, making the web application more resilient to the failures occurring in native code.• Implemented Mac OS X browser support in thin client.• Developed the concept of PrintEngine modules to facilitate high resolution document printing capabilities in thin client across supported web browsers. Implemented the PrintEngine Java applet for Firefox. Converted the existing Internet Explorer ActiveX. Unified the user interface of the Print features across supported web browsers.

Developed, coded and maintained various custom modules for Task Master workflow automation software. Designed and implemented several components for Paper Keyboard optical character recognition software. Supervised junior programmers during development, implementation, integration and installation of various custom-designed workflow automation and form recognition systems to achieve high productivity and exceptional quality of custom configurations and software modules.• During 1995-1999 tax seasons worked on design, implementation, installation and maintenance of Massachusetts State Department of Revenue Automated Tax Processing Imaging System as individual contributor and subsequently becoming the lead developer of the project. This system earned several awards, including the Smithsonian Award for Government Innovation, and was considered a biggest installation of imaging workflow automation system using off-the-shelf software at the time.• Implemented and maintained the Data Entry Task for the above system to enhance productivity and accuracy of Department's data entry staff. Achieved 100% data entry operator productivity increase. • Redesigned, coded and maintained DocEdit data entry automation software. Participated in design and implementation of Data Edit ActiveX control used in DocEdit software.

Worked as part of a group of consultants at IBM Corp. at East Fishkill, NY.Designed, coded and maintained the Geography Specific Information Management System to allow gathering and updating the information about regional availability dates and rules applied to products being sold throughout the world. Developed and implemented Configuration Validation Software to verify the proposed system configurations using the information obtained within the Geography Specific Information Management System to ensure that all the components of the configured system are currently available in the particular geographical area.
