Geoscientist/Software Support/Geochemist/Basin Modeller/ResearcherHis professional career began in 2014, as a geoscientist at Energy Quest Sdn Bhd. He is familiar with organic geochemistry, basin analysis, exploration (geology and geophysics) interpretation and petrophysics. Throughout the years, Muhammad Hafiz Baharuddin has involved in several projects in Sabah (Sabah Basin, Onshore Kudat, Onshore Klias, North Tarakan Basin, SB331, SB332), Sarawak (Balingian, Mukah, Oya, Tinjar, Baram, Luconia), Malay Basin, North Sumatra, Russia (Astrakhan), Kazakhstan (ADEK) and other localities around the world.Concurrently a Master’s student at the University of Malaya doing research entitled “Petroleum Source Rock Evaluation, Oil-Source Correlation of Northern Sabah Basin Cenozoic Sequence”. His research is mainly field and laboratory-based. Focusing on source rock characterization, thermal maturity analysis, maceral/coal/kerogen organic petrography, mass-spectrometry (GC, GCMS, Py-GC), biomarker analysis (EOD, maturity, correlation), bulk kinetic analysis, basin analysis, stable isotope analysis, and surface geochemistry (Microbial, LTE, GeoPAC).Actively engaged with academia as a researcher at University of Malaya and industrial panel (Fieldwork Coordinator, Field-Development Project evaluator, Judge) in Faculty of Chemical Engineering, UiTM Shah Alam for Oil and Gas Engineering degree student.
