Conducting Proof of Concepts. Delivering technical readiness workshops, proactive support, environment assessments, design assistance, and deployment and configuration guidance to Microsoft premier customers based in Gulf area (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar and Bahrain) as well as other counties within EMEA focusing on Azure technologies especially Windows Virtual Desktop as well as Azure Landing Zones, Azure Networking, Azure Backup and Site Recovery, Azure Monitor, and Azure Governance. Additionally supporting customers with on-premises technologies, mainly Windows Server Software Defined Datacenter, and Datacenter IT Service Management & Automation based on Microsoft System Center suite (Service Manager and Orchestrator). Participating on number of projects with Microsoft Consulting Services (MCS) performing assessments and deployments.

In addition to my original role as a Partner Technical Consultant (below), I’ve been selected to function as the Global Partner Services (GPS) Security Specialization lead, providing focal point for security related matters for GPS consultants.My main responsibilities in this function are:• Build “Readiness Roadmaps” focusing on security solutions (rather than individual products) for Microsoft GPS employees.• Leading a technical community of engineers for building awareness and triaging security cases different consultants worldwide are working on, providing them with technical assistance or collaborating them with other security SME’s from inside or outside GPS• Building and reviewing abstracts for content to developed which will eventually will be delivered to partners, recently including Windows Server 2012 and Windows 8

My job is to build a relationship with Microsoft Gold & Silver Certified Partners in MEA and help them in projects they deliver to their customers. This includes:- Technical Presales Assistance - Working with partners on the technical aspects of RFP’s sent to customers - Guiding partners in positioning Microsoft solutions for customer scenarios, and showing the business value of Microsoft solutions - Helping partners in competitive situations during deals - Synchronizing partner activities with and engaging TSP’s and SSP’s to help provide a One Microsoft vision- Technical Advisory Services - Helping partners during the envisioning phase of their solutions by guiding partners to ask their customers the right questions to aid in correct and successful planning - Helping partners during the planning phase of their solutions by reviewing technical aspects of their designs (or help them create it) and making sure they follow Microsoft’s best practices - Helping partners in understanding how to configure / deploy the technical aspects of their solutions during the developing and deploying phasesAnother part of my job responsibilities is to deliver workshops on new Microsoft technologies for partners through face-to-face or online sessions.

BIT is the leader in providing technical training in the Kingdom of Bahrain and is opening a new unit called BIT Consulting Services unit (BIT-C) responsible for delivering complete IT solutions to corporate in Bahrain. My responsibilities are to Design, plan, and in some cases implement and provide technical support for projects handled by BIT-C, along with delivering high level technical courses focusing on the Infrastructure products and servers products such as Internet Security and Acceleration Server 2004 / 2006, Microsoft Antigen / Forefront Security for Exchange, and Exchange 2003 / 2007, beside working with other products such as SharePoint Portal 2003, Systems Management Server 2003.

My duties were to rebuild, supervise, and maintain the infrastructure of EL Sewedy Cables Network which includes EL Sewedy Factories (EGYTECH Cables Company (ECC), United Industrials Company (UIC), United Metal Company (UMC) and Arab Cables Company (ACC)) in 10th of Ramadan, and EL Sewedy Cables HQ and remote offices in Cairo. My job was to re-design the infrastructure and implement (along with a team) that design, then manage and operate the network in all locations. During my work in EL Sewedy Cables, I’ve developed the company’s infrastructure based on the following:• Windows Server 2003 as server platform • Windows XP and Windows 2000 as the client platform• Microsoft Exchange 2003 with Microsoft Live Communications Server 2005 as the messaging and collaboration platforms• Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration Server 2004 / 2006 as the application layer firewall and content caching• Microsoft Windows Share Point Team services for managing the network operations team. My job also included configuring and monitoring some Cisco appliance such as layer 3 switches and Cisco PIX firewall.During my work in EL Sewedy cables, I was also responsible for supervising the IT team, assigning and coordinating tasks between the team members.I was also instructed (by my direct manager) to attend managers and executive level meetings to discuss how the IT team is operating, show the business value and importance of our operations, listen to requests and complaints by the various departments and discussing their feasibility, envisioning the company IT tactical and strategic operation requirements

During this period I was working as a freelancer engineer in troubleshooting, networks construction and security design and assessment. I’ve performed troubleshooting on networks built on Microsoft, Linux, and Cisco at many places, some of which I worked in before such as Prime Soft, ICTC, and ALS. I also designed networks for some companies. Meanwhile I also instructed network, networking security, and database courses in various places.

Worked as a Systems Engineer in Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) supporting the desktop clients

During this period, I worked as network administrator in Advanced Logic Systems (ALS). ALS is an Internet Service Provider providing internet services for corporate companies in Egypt as well as providing consultancy and troubleshooting for customers.In ALS, I was responsible for:• Maintaining ALS internal infrastructure which include administrating and supporting Microsoft Windows 2000 and Windows 2003, Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration Server 2000, and Microsoft Exchange 2000.• Helping the company’s Dev team in infrastructure related matters such as Installing and maintaining other servers such as Microsoft SQL Server, and Microsoft Share Point Portal Server• Providing consultancy for customers by designing networking solutions for corporates based on Microsoft Technologies, Cisco, and Linux. • Performing remote troubleshooting for ALS managed accounts on infrastructure servers and networking issues.• Monitoring and setting up private connections to ALS customers to provide them with internet access through ALS backbone internet connection

Worked in the International Information and Communications Technology Center (ICTC) as an instructor for 4 months contract. ICTC is a Microsoft Certified Partner, Microsoft Certified Technical Education Center, and IBM Authorized Training Center. I was responsible for instructing Microsoft courses especially Microsoft Windows 2000, Microsoft SQL Server 2000, and Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration Server. I also instructed Linux courses from IBM Training Materials such as Linux Basics, Linux System Administration, Linux TCP/IP Administration, and Linux as a Firewall.

Worked in Prime Soft. Prime Soft is a Microsoft Certified Partner. I started there as an Instructor, then I was responsible for the internal network and was responsible for maintaining the Testing Center section of Prime Soft (Prometric and VUE) then became the senior systems engineer in addition of being an instructor. My job function in Prime Soft included Instructing, Internal Network Administration, and Network Troubleshooting and designing solutions for companies.
