I spent time working on a small vineyard in a small town in one of the most beautiful places on Earth. Everyday I would wake up early do fieldwork, I would clean vines, pick grapes, measure acidity and sugar content. In the afternoon I would help with the vinification and other cellar work. I would help with everything from crushing, to labeling and shipping. I found that the key to great wine and to many great successes, is cleanliness, efficiency and organization. Here I also lived with many people from many different backgrounds and worked fluidly and well to help a lead a successful team during the harvest. Working with Chiara and many of the other fantastic people hosting me made me realize that there is so much more to life that can be explored, if you only take the risk. The city of Barolo and Monforte are very different from Boulder but beautiful in a very special way.

Managed a three million dollar property, with over 120 active members. Helped establish budget constraints and team building projects in order to maintain an incredible environment. Worked closely with both executive committees and housing associations within Boulder.

Here I stepped out of my comfort zone and took a risk. I worked on a vinyard in the heart of Tuscany. While working in both the cellar and fields I overcame massive language barriers and had the chance to do some practical chemistry in the field. This experience opened my eyes to the vastness of the world and how different cultures may be, but how there are always some core traits between humans. It was an incredible experience and helped me to personally redefine the idea of work hard, play hard.

Worked with the IMAGE research group in analyzing the effects of aging on stress hormones and metabolic rates. Processed protein and fat biopsies while working in a sterile and precise environment. Became familiar with the data analyzing software in regression and cell sizing, while also doing cell nucleus dying. Helped with micro scale assays, running 95% accuracy, while pursuing a passion for chemistry and research in a leading research lab.
