I assist in a programming language class, helping students grasp key concepts. I also hold office hours for 40+ students, providing help with assignments and lab work.

In my role as Academic Chairperson, I advocated for academic excellence among Somali students both on and off campus within the Columbus community. I successfully raised thousands of dollars for academic scholarships throughout the year. Recently, I raised $2000 in scholarship funds, awarding $1000 each to two deserving Somali high school graduates. The recipients were chosen based on their compelling essay applications detailing their career aspirations and commitment to contributing to their country’s future. Additionally, I organized volunteer programs for members, facilitating community engagement and personal development, and collaborated with the Outreach Chair to develop a mentorship program to enhance member support and growth.
