This internship was part of an ongoing partnership with the University of Arizona and the Tucson Department of Transportation and Mobility. Projects:- Compile student design work as a single CAD document to support TDM's Prop 407 Bicycle Boulevard. - Assist in creating a comprehensive community engagement packet to help inform future virtual outreach strategies during the Covid-19 pandemic. - Create a preliminary report analysis of three alternative bicycle routes for a proposed bicycle boulevard, including analysis of benefits, challenges, and cost estimates.

Responsibilities included grading of student work per the instructor's grading and rubric instructions, recording and uploading grades, posting and passing out graded work, and answering any general grading questions from students.

- Hiring New Store team- Partnering with in store, district, and corporate team to expedite and open a new store. - Teaches, coaches, and develops a team to deliver exceptional customer service.- Creates a daily and weekly schedule to meet business and employee needs.- Designs and executes business plans to drive daily, monthly, and yearly sales goals.- Collaborate with district and in store partners to ensure the best product, at the best price, with the best team. - Maintain merchandising standards.- Hire, train, and promote the best talent.- Control inventory processes and lead department biannual inventories.

-Assists the department manager in teaching and coaching employees to deliver outstanding customer service while driving sales and exceeding LY (last year) sales numbers.-Help the department manager execute a business plan to achieve department service and volume goals-Teach team to act as fashion and product knowledge experts for the customer-Collaborate with the department manager to ensure the customer receives the best quality, value and selection of merchandise-Work with the department manager to ensure merchandising and presentation standards are met-Maintain regular floor presence to provide the best customer service also ensuring that the best product is readily available for the customer.-Assist the department manager in scheduling (monthly, weekly and daily) for the entire department team. -Provides excellent customer service on a daily basis and drives sales through a positive and progressive attitude and drives repeat business through offering Nordstrom fashion rewards.
