• Manage team of specialists, ensuring that SAP configuration changes and developments are made in line with the ICT Release plan, tested appropriately and adhere to outlined principles• Maintenance of up to date call and problem records in the appropriate service management system• Maintenance / support of SAP related application interfaces, batch processes and middleware as required• Communication of problem status or resolution to the end user / customer help desks as required• Response to change requests, this includes completion of initial impact assessments, making configuration changes and co-ordination of testing.• Carry out detailed design within functional areas to ensure that the design follows the functional area design principles and will not negatively impact existing configuration• Ensure documentation is maintained in the appropriate repository.• Day to day management of a team of SAP technicians• Quality assure own team’s functional and technical specifications, configuration documentation and test scripts ensuring it is stored in the appropriate repository• Ensure delivery of effective performance to achieve targets set out in customer Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators• Identification of continuous improvement opportunities and presenting these to the relevant stakeholders for investigation and/or consideration.• Provide development advisory services to project teams and input to change and release management processes• Liaise with process streams over production of functional requirements specifications• Work with the Application Team Lead, Application Configuration Specialists and Team Manager(s) to implement new ways of working, address new customer requirements and drive continuous improvement.• Working with Change Manager in relation to co-ordination and implementation of support packs and developments• Subject matter expert both functionally and technically in SAP roles and authorisations

• Build, support and maintenance of SAP Roles and Authorsations within a business as usual environment• User administration in a business as usual environment Worked on the following three projects as Security Specialist:Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency SAP HR implementation Driving Standards Agency SAP HR implementation DfT Shared Services implementation • The most major of these projects was the DfT Shared Services implementation which went live in April 2007. During this project I successfully: Determined the Security Policy and Authorisation Concept for the Shared Services systems (ERP, CRM, SRM, BI and PI). Carried out the development, build and unit testing of authorisation concepts such as Central User Administration, Indirect Role Assignment, Context Sensitive authorisations and Structural Authorisations. Participated in Roles and Authorisations workshops with Business Units to outline the Security Concept and provide SME advice as required Maintained and supported Development, Integration and UAT user ids/authorisations for project members. Liaised with project members to ascertain requirements for single and composite roles and advised on transaction suitability and segregation of duty issues. Designed, built and documented single and composite roles for ERP, CRM, SRM, BI and PI Supported unit testing and User Acceptance Testing by creating user ids and ensured role testing was carried out. Ensured there was a timely resolution of role issues identified using Mercury Test Director for logging and problem management. Liaised with Business Units to gather information on Production end user access for assignment at go-live Produced, tested and executed LSMW scripts and for mass loads of user ids, indirect role to position assignments, mass assignment of portal groups and parameters.
