About Mia O'Gorman

My passion is people development. I am an executive coach, coaching supervisor, leadership development consultant and trainer of coaches and supervisors. I work through collaborative partnerships and enjoy working across multiple projects on a freelance basis.I’ve been a coach since 2002, supporting and challenging people across industries to greater successes and satisfaction in work and life. I’m ambitious for my coaching clients, helping them see new possibilities and take confident steps forward. Forming a strong working partnership with each individual, I use my enthusiasm, psychological insight, business knowledge and life experience to enhance personal growth, professional development and organisational value. I've specialised in leadership development throughout my career. My in-house roles focused on early to mid career talent acquisition, development and succession planning; as a consultant my experience includes outdoor and experiential learning design and delivery, executive assessment, group assessment for development, executive development and talent development. Using effective business psychology, experiential learning and technology I design and facilitate transformational leadership development programmes, with most clients being FTSE 250 firms.Clients find my coaching calming, energising and insightful; even cynics find they have exceeded expectations in opening up, gaining self-knowledge and stretching outside their comfort zone.Words used to describe me as a coach and facilitator include grounded, motivating, clarifying, dynamic, kind, perceptive, supportive, skilled and authentic.I've been fortunate to work with many great leaders and organisations including Astra Zeneca, Balfour Beatty, Centrica, Deloitte, DLA Piper, DSTL, Ferrero, Hogan Lovells, Imperial Brands, Kellogg, INSEAD Business School, Jones Lang Lasalle, London South Bank University, McKinsey, Shard Capital, Spirax Sarco Engineering and Watson Marlow Fluid Technology Group. I volunteer as a wellbeing coach for MacMillan Cancer Support providing coaching to people living with cancer, and as an accreditation mentor for the EMCC enabling coaches to evidence their experience and capability to gain the professional recognition of EMCC accreditation.
