I provide oversight of all NYDIS grant development, management and reporting related to NYDIS and am responsible in stewarding relationships with institutional funders and prospects while supporting the NYDIS mission.

• Secured over $600,000 in grants from foundations, including the Mellon Foundation, Chinook Fund, Transformative Leadership for Change and First Nations Development Institute, by developing grant proposals, project plans and budget• Prepare proposals by determining concept, writing drafts, obtaining approval and meeting proposal deadline by establishing priorities and target dates; obtain approvals by reviewing proposal with stakeholders and project managers • Lead the team by optimizing the grant management process, overseeing fund-raising, preparing progress reports, ensuring compliance with grant regulations, managing grant databases, engaging with donor agencies, educating staff on policies, and preparing financial reports

• Manage a portfolio of over 40 social and economic development, Native language, and environmental projects to ensure project implementation, compliance with federal regulations, and analyze programmatic and financial reports• Lead as Panel Manager to analyze and evaluate applications for $12,000,000 worth of federal assistance awards annually• Plan, execute, and host annual Notice of Funding Opportunity focus groups in support of making ANA grant applications equitable for stakeholders• Transcribe the monthly Strengthening Our Circle Newsletter, dedicated to updating current award recipients and community partners of the Administration of all programmatic updates, funding announcements, etc.

• Granted over $659,500 worth of funds to grassroots organizations to over 120 recipients by analyzing and studying grand applications use cases• Analyzed 45 to 55 grand applications quarterly, over 200 during my tenure, for funding through the lens of the Resist mission that promotes radical philanthropy and grassroots organizations at the forefront of movements• Provided insight and feedback to Resist and applicants throughout grant-making cycles on applications

• Managed strategic partnership deals by developing tracking and optimization tools, analyzing social media review, identifying corporate prospects, and meeting deliverable deadlines• Supported on sponsorship pitch materials by conducting data input and cleaning, transcribed weekly news updates for Voting Rights work for strategic partners, including the WNBA• Tackled Indigenous Justice programmatic conversations on the Indigenous Justice Steering Committee (IJSC)

I volunteer at Part of the Solution (POTS) to provide the food to those in need in the Bronx community; I paint, organize, and clean schools in the Bronx for New York Cares Day for Schools 2017; recruit members for club events and services and promotes mission through organized socials

Working with Communications and conducting legislative research for Councilmember Todd during recess in order to fulfill the needs of Ward 4 residents of Washington DC.

I edit prose and poetry submissions on a weekly basis; attend club trips to the Brooklyn Book Festival 2016 and engage with publishing company representatives such as Epiphany Magazine and Academy of American Poets
