Immediately hired as an associate on completion of apprenticeship and admission to the bar. Cases include employment, other civil rights, and tenants’ rights. Served as second chair trial counsel; prepared four other cases for trial, including one resulting in a $750,000 settlement on the first day of trial. Researched and drafted two appeal briefs, wrote over twenty briefs, and argued two motions. Took three depositions, negotiated five settlements, defended five tenants, and continued to master discovery disputes. Exceeded hourly billing goals by 25%. Generated new work as general counsel to a nonprofit.

Read the law while working full-time as a paralegal, demonstrating the exceptional time-management skills needed to work over 40 hours per week while studying full-time. Performed supervised attorney work on employment, wage & hour, personal injury, police abuse, and prison cases.
