Handling media and communications strategy for the ACLU of New Mexico.Accomplishments:- Led and implemented communications strategy for Griego v. Oliver, the New Mexico Supreme Court case that established marriage equality in New Mexico.- Served as press secretary and online outreach coordinator for the successful “Respect ABQ Women” campaign that defeated a ballot measure campaign.- Managed the ACLU-NM website and oversaw its redesign (aclu-nm.org.)- Placed stories in local, state, and national media outlets.- Developed strategic communications plans and managed crisis communications for multiple high-stakes campaigns and court cases.- Grew ACLU-NM social media and developed one of the most successful email marketing programs in the ACLU organization nationwide.- Managed volunteers, interns, and a full-time employees

Wrote and adapted employee development courses on a variety of different topics for the Credit Union National Association and miscellaneous freelance writing and design work for former employer, Church World Service.

- Published articles on CWSEA program activities through international news organizations such as Reuters Alert Net and Relief Web. - Wrote, designed, and distributed the biannual CWSEA newsletter/magazine and numerous other key promotional materials. - Developed media strategy and refined messaging. - Caught up the CWSEA communications dept. from a five month back log. - Managed the CWSEA website and oversaw its complete redesign.
