As a proactive high school senior, I am deeply passionate about social justice and strive to make a meaningful impact through my academic, professional, and volunteer endeavors. Being a Summer Law Clerk Intern at the LA City Attorney's Office provided me with invaluable insight into the criminal justice system and municipal law, confirming my passion in this area. I am an active member of the African American Student Association at Loyola High School, a volunteer for Acing for Autism, volunteer for local political campaigns and involved in criminal justice reform through Project Innocence. Additionally, I contribute to education equity by taking multiple AP classes, tutoring middle school students and have been recognized with the Leadership Award at the California Youth Think Tank. I have also delved into scientific research, having written a research paper on memory consolidation through the brain’s hippocampus which earned me a finalist spot in the American Psychology Association. This experience has deepened my analytical skills and taught me how to approach complex problems with both precision and creativity. I aspire to pursue higher education to deepen my understanding of politics, law, and neuroscience, with the goal of attending law school and building a network of like-minded individuals. This foundation will allow me to continue working toward creating a more equitable and just society.
