We were founded in 2007, launched our first research outsourcing marketplace in 2008 and built our first enterprise marketplace for Pfizer in 2009. Today, we operate enterprise marketplaces for 20 of the world’s top 30 pharmaceutical companies, 80 biotechnology companies and the US National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Responsible for the entire development process of a project: gathering requirements from the clients, designing from user stories, and either working with the rest of the team to implement the designs or working alone to complete the project. Used an Agile approach to deliver value, validating new or improved features with each iteration. Introduced new technologies and strategies to the team to better serve clients.● 4-Legged Flix Kiosk System - Automated labor intensive, repetitive tasks for 4-Legged Flix – a dog show video company – by understanding their pain points, creating user-tested prototypes, and employing Agile methodology to solve new problems with each version to guarantee value. The final product was a Kiosk system allowing customers to search, preview, purchase, and download videos of their dogs without the help of 4-Legged Flix staff. Built with Laravel 4 and hosted by an Apache server deployed on their local area network (LAN), the system brought in more customers, drastically lowered wait times in line, and lowered the stress of the staff.● GoChek.me - Worked with Real Estate Business Resources (REBR) to develop an iPad and web application (soon to be released) described as the “Yelp” for real estate agents. Worked with a team of professors, undergraduate students, and graduate students to develop crowdsourcing software for the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) that empowers users with a professional-level, industry-standard testing tool to verify the accuracy of speeds advertised by internet carriers in different parts of California.● CalSpeed Desktop Application - Created the desktop application found at calspeed.org, where users could verify the quality and speed of their internet carrier. Built using Java allowed the Mac and Windows versions to have the same code base. The interface was developed with a JavaFX WebView, creating a much more flexible design than traditional Swing frameworks.● Web Viewer - Developed the Web Viewer which became the most popular tool of the suite for it’s ease of use. It’s purpose was to be a reference prototype for the iOS and Android versions, but CPUC found it so useful they asked the team to fully support it. Built as a Single Page Application (SPA) using PHP, AJAX, Google Maps API, and Twitter Bootstrap, the Web Viewer was accessible on any device with a browser and operated much like a native mobile application.Key skills used: Java ● JavaFX ● H2 ● PHP ● Javascript ● MySQL ● HTML ● CSS ● Git ● Project Management

Learned how to take non-technical requirements and create software designs that elegantly solved problems. In charge of planning, designing, and developing the final product.● Collaborative Innovation Tool - Designed and developed a web-based software prototype used to facilitate innovations between the researchers at SPAWAR and the military’s warfighters. The prototype attempted to alleviate issues of top-down management.
