My job, skills, and calling are about two things: spiritual formation and leadership development. I have worked and lived in nonprofit ministry all my life. Through living alongside those I serve, I have come to see how important it is for an individual to both experience God deeply and to understand and apply the practical ways of life. These two are deeply connected. As the Servant Leadership Team Director at Urban Vision, I am able to teach and model to my students what loving God and loving others look like and show them how a situational model for leadership can help them understand how to adapt. Theology forms their hearts and character; training maximizes their skills. When people realize that the practices of spiritual formation and leadership development are parallel paths on the same journey, a life of wholeness and integrity opens up to them. This is my love and my joy to be a part of with others.
