I provide training and consulting services to the New York City Police Department's Real Time Crime Center and Detective Bureau on their Fúsus platform to combat crime and enhance officer and civilian safety.In my first career as a police lieutenant commander, I served my last 14 years at the NYPD forensic laboratory managing over 80 employees for a 24/7 complex operation. I oversaw both the security operation and Evidence Control Section managing a team responsible for the chain of custody for all evidence in the facility (the busiest in the United States).Responsible for new hires. onboarding, training, discipline, scheduling, and other HR-related matters.Created standard operating procedures for two sections of the police laboratory which successfully met international accreditation standards (ISO 17025) for more than 14 years.Project managed several multimillion-dollar capital projects including a $1.1 million security system overhaul consisting of over 100 CCTV cameras, 80 PACS readers, and a Visitor's Monitoring Station, in addition to a $7.1 million Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). This was a 3-year project involving cross-functioning teams representing all disciplines of forensic analysis, the IT department, and the Quality Assurance Section. Implemented the integrity control program for over 350 employees. Conducted regular training and oversight for this material for all lab staff.
