About Michael Andrews

I am a ML and quantitative researcher broadly passionate about applying deep learning methods to achieve breakthrough advancements in areas impacting society and science. In my current role, I apply ML to improve consumer loan underwriting to enable traditionally underserved consumers access to credit. Previously, at the CERN LHC, I pioneered the use of end-to-end deep learning, which directly extracts features from raw sensor data, allowing never-before-possible measurements to be made. My passion projects include using deep learning to open new frontiers in gravitational wave-based detection and ranging.
