Responsible for Site Layout, Trades Coordination, Logistics and Staging, Site Safety, General Conditions Materials and Labor, Maintaining Schedules, Daily Reports, Time Sheets, Two Week Look Aheads, working with Architects, and Engineers, Code Compliance, Supervised all aspects of Site Construction.

Oversaw all field work at companies sites, Coordinated and Directed Site Superintendents, worked closely with President of Company, Clients, Architects, and Engineers, Monitored Schedules, Budgets, Change Orders, Site Safety, Equipment Maintenence, General Conditions, Trade Coordination.

As both PM and Superintendent I was able to provide our company with a more positive interaction with Clients, Architects, and Engineers. I assisted the Architects with design challenges without jeopardizing schedule or budget. I issued 184 sketches for the Lerner Loft Project which received awards in design and execution. These sketches not only benefited the design but also assisted the trades. Working both disciplines from site, made it easier to maintain the schedule, changes, and budget. I built this $3,000,000.00 project, several Townhouse renovations and the renovation of the Tisch Residence at 88 CPW for Ivy Walk.

Started up all companies work; guided estimating, created scopes of work, contracts, purchase orders, change orders, and schedules. Created many of the operational documents; everything from “Super” friendly Daily reports to Notices of Back Change.I oversaw everything from initial contract qualifications, to close outs.

I joined York/Hunter to work on a special, high profile project; the renovation of the Council on Foreign Relations and the building of the Pete Peterson Conference Center.This was a $14,000,000.00 project which included a total upgrade of MEPs for four of their five buildings (781 tasks). The demolition of one townhouse, and the rear extensions of three others. The excavation and erection of a three story video conferencing center, with a lot line footprint, outfitted for multi-purpose, state of the art, video-conferencing system, and rebuilding of the Townhouse into offices for the Council.

As Director of Operations for this mid-sized (union) drywall and rough carpentry contractor; I first spent time observing the duties of all the employees. I created their first Procedural Manual, which redefined Estimating, Project Management, Accounting, Secretarial Support, Field Operations, Purchasing, and Maintenance. This aided in transforming an $18,000,000.00 a year company into a $38,000,000.00 a year enterprise; with minimal increase in staff.

I had the pleasure of working on seventeen projects at Richter + Ratner; including the building of Barneys New York in Cleveland ($11,500,000.00) a $1,000,000.00 renovation of Barneys New York in Dallas, designed by Peter Marino. St. John Boutique on Fifth Avenue; Paul Suart (in two phases while the store remained open), Hirschliefer’s in Manhasset, Gucci and Cartier on Fifth Avenue, and The Original Levi’s Store at Lexington and 60th Street (a ten week project built in 29 days). At R+R project managers estimate and bid out their projects, control buyouts, scheduling, oversee field operations (some at long distances), and all aspects of purchasing and manufacturing.

I oversaw all field construction and was responsible for the overall continuity of all projects; coordination of all scheduling with Project Managers and Field Superintendents. Assisted the President of the company with presentations and proposals, as well as corporate liaison to Clients, Architects, and Major Subcontractors.

I was Superintendent at Trump Tower, assisting the General Superintendent in completing twenty nine residential apartments (nine of which were mine), three retail, and three commercial projects. Supervised and later Project Managed several residential apartments, building multi-unit buildings, as well as framed houses. Completed Barneys New York on 17th and 7th Avenue (a $35,000,000.00 project), and a fifteen story condo at 60 East 88th Street, valued at $24,000,000.00.

Performed both bench a machine work in shop, maintained all machinery and made most of the templates and jigs for multi application set ups (for joinery and hardware).This provided quality control and more efficient fabrication. I developed a method of fabricating custom sized doors that would not warp, utilizing an overlapping air cavity of internal structural elements that allows equal atmospheric pressure. My work at De Jil was enjoyable and allowed me to install everything I built. We made casework for Residential, Commercial, Retail, and Institutions.

This small Architectural Millwork Company restored and replication antiques, produced custom millwork for all types of uses. We provided a level of detail work that included, marqueterie, hand carving, and joinery, as well as lath and machine work for individual Client, Architects and Interior Designers.
