Currently, I am working to serve as a Controller of a Family Office with responsibility for a $120 million private corporate bond fund. I oversee the responsibility for accounting and managing fund’s investment strategy and trading activities. I save significant costs of the Family Office by producing all books and records in-house, generating monthly NAV, and fulfilling KYC requests.I manage tax filings, oversee cash flows, and efficiently process wire transfers. I partner with outside service provider to reconcile and maintain family office books and records for enhancing accuracy. I perform shadow accounting for addressing errors. I produce and maintain accurate and up-to-date books and records of Advanced Flower Capital Management, manage P&L and balance sheet, and oversee accreting income, OID income, incentive fee, and management fee.I act as the CFO of the building for managing all leases, funding, cash, tenants financing, CAM, and real estate tax management. I manage the tax filings. I supervise collection and billing of invoices for the building, as well as manage lease contracts with tenants. I actively participate in leading new deals, building improvements, and capitalizing on opportunities. I fulfill ad hoc requests related to cash management, equity transfer, and 1099’s. This building was refinanced in July 2021 and sold in August 2022.Highlights of accomplishment in these roles include:• I played an instrumental role in enabling the organization to secure re-financing of the loan of 2.01% from the bank after repeated failed attempts, by single-handedly cleaning all records and books of accounts; successfully refinanced $23 million from the bank.• I facilitated the on-time completion of various lender and brokerage diligence requests by preparing all books in an accurate and correct manner.• I improved overall efficiency and productivity by identifying and addressing major gaps in various reconciliation processes.

As a Corporate Controller, I supported Managing Partners in strategic decision-making process by preparing and presenting periodic financials. I performed financial forecast, formulated budgets, monitored expenditures, and implemented strict controls to minimize budget deviations and variances.I implemented the Quarterly Findings Report (QFR) analyzed results, and presented findings to the Managing Partners. I prepared schedules for staff members, assigned targets and responsibilities, reviewed work quality before submission, identified underperforming individuals, and promoted a productive working ambiance to retain top talent.Highlights of accomplishments in this role includes:• I orchestrated and implemented standardized auditing process across a number of key areas, such as receivables, payables, corporate overhead, and client projects. • I supported the development of fund structure modeling, calculating IRR, WACC, CCC, Alpha, and Standard Deviation. • I played an integral role in implementing Quarterly Findings Report (QFR) and submitting QFR to the Managing Partners with the details of perceived / observed issues and proposed resolutions along with the opportunistic suggestions.• I directed a team of six analysts, assessed performance, evaluated training needs, and conducted training sessions to improve productivity.

In this role, I examined and approved monthly valuation calculations, auditing reports, tax files, investor k-1’s, and multiple accounting submissions before external release. I acted as a point of contact of the company while interacting with fund administrator, auditor (Grant Thornton), CPA firm, and forensic accountant.I administered 12 staff members, including Fund Accountant, A/P Manager, and VP Treasury from cross-functional departments, such as accounting, corporate finance, accounts payable, portfolio monitoring, and corporate restructuring.I oversaw loan pay off reconciliations of pay-outs for entire portfolio.I generated a number of ad hoc reports for COO and CEO and helped senior management throughout the audit process by preparing accurate details and supporting schedules.Highlights of accomplishments in this role includes:• I was promoted from Credit Analyst to VP, Finance position by demonstrating utmost dedication and continued commitment towards work excellence.• I performed reconciliation of books after a gap of four years; successfully identified a missing $22 million in assets and saved the company from loss.
