Worked with the Art Director, Graphic Designers, and the rest of the Communications and Marketing Department to fulfill all creative requests. Designed signage, program magazine layouts, invitations, print/web ads, and more. Learned how to take requests and get approval from various departments in the Foundation. Juggled several projects simultaneously, learning how to build production schedules and meet deadlines. Prepared work for prepress, reviewed proofs, and communicated with printers.

Created illustrations to accompany articles, ranging from small spots to entire spreads. Designed and illustrated standalone title spreads representing the issue’s overall theme. Collaborated closely with the Design Director to create content when other illustrators failed to meet the deadline.

Assisted a local freelance illustrator and designer in creating proposals for, completing, and documenting finished commissions. Created logos and icons, from conception to completion. Learned and worked with Hexagon and Daz Studio, 3D modeling software, to create models for sale. Researched recent award-winning websites, identifying elements to adapt for use in a website displaying information on the melting of California’s glaciers.
