I currently serve as the Product Owner for FastTrack Marine Drawings Content supporting and facilitating the achievement of customer-driven goals. This includes addressing the needs of customers already in production, prospective new customers in the marine ship industry, and also those in a new area of development for Intergraph, the offshore market. The recent push towards the offshore market has meant learning new fabrication techniques and standards in order to create the necessary drawings and reports any new customer will demand. Accomplishing this has required creating completely new drawings functionality, pushing the team to step out of their comfort zone in marine, and attempting to create useful functionality for a variety of yards in order to be attractive to as many customers as possible. I have spent my time in this position visiting shipyards to meet directly with customers in order to gather requirements for their fabrication drawings as well as following through to implementation and acceptance. I have also continued to provide training to these customers so that they can fully utilize our software as well as completely understand any gaps that may exist between what we provide and what they need.

As an IT Specialist at DISA, I was a member of the program’s functional testing team for the Global Combat Support System (GCSS). While in this position I have gained tremendous experience in test management. I used user stories to generate test cases, create defects, and check the operability of the program. I learned to use and manage the software necessary for quality assurance. I reported our results and metrics to stakeholders along with training new team members. Alongside my roles as a tester, I developed skills in setting up a server and database. These were then used for configuring a wiki to be used by the testing team in order to share information and track statuses more easily.
