Full Stack Web Developer with a passion for creativity and making abstract ideas come to life. Before venturing into Software Engineering I sang opera professionally, taught Middle School choir for 4 years, and led several community/church choirs. All of these professional experiences brought new challenges, allowed the opportunity for me to learn new skill sets, and made me realize the best way to communicate and get people involved as a community is through human connection. I love creativity, helping others find their inspiration, seeing things come to life, opera, hiking, running, reading, music, and the arts.     As a part-time contractor, I had the wonderful opportunity to join DSR by creating new endpoints in their Rails API, in preparation of redesigning an MVC Rails app into a React/Rails API application. Over the course of two weeks, I was asked to match an example JSON file with information that was sent from specific API endpoints to the DOM. After finishing this project, I was also asked to design new features for their current MVC Rails app. These features included implementing new model migrations that were used for data tracking for the current app's MVC structure, creating customized DOM-manipulation (via JavaScript) for better UI, and efficiently pushing code from testing to production.

We connected users on Facebook who are suffering from depression to the Heart Support discourse channel and database. We accomplished this by implementing several methods which register users in HS’s database using Facebook's API. As a team, we held weekly standups, pair programmed over Zoom, communicated over Slack, and met goals with Trello.
