Began working in the steel wire rope manufacturing industry in 2012. Beginning my career as a machine operative on the then, largest rope manufacturing machine in the world, gaining knowledge and experience of wire rope manufacturing first hand. Promoted to Chief inspector in 2017 handling rope and wire testing for Newcastle sites. Gaining extensive knowledge of product validation and industry testing standards and methods. Began role as Quality Technician in 2019 with the view becoming Quality Engineer via completion of a manufacturing engineering degree. Achieved in 2023, graduating with a 1st class degree. Responsibilities including maintenance of QMS certifications, procedures and implementation of new standards. Development of ITP’s, PST’s to ensure right first time manufacture. RCA of internal, external failures and NC’s. Leading external QMS audits ISO9001 and API Q1. Other QA responsibilities.
