In July 2024, I joined Hogarth through PrideOne, and am tasked with creating, updating, and maintaining digital marketing content for their enterprise technology client.

In January 2024, I began the the role of freelance Copy Editor for The New Stack, a media platform focused on cloud native technologies, distributed systems, and data architectures, with emphasis on DevOps and open source projects. In this role, I formatted and edited content for the platform, including news articles, sponsored content, and ebooks. I used Asana to collaborate and plan with my team, and produced article content in WordPress CMS. I adhered to prescribed style formats, including Associated Press style and internal guides.

Joining Apple through Core Studio in 2022, I assumed the role of Reference Editor. My responsibilities were focused on the creation and localization of reference articles in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), leveraging its digital asset management system for seamless content publication. Collaborating cross-functionally with business partners and subject matter experts, I contributed to the optimization of content strategy and design.I refined and produced reference materials within Apple's iWork suite. I orchestrated the development and enhancement of source content using applications like Pages, Preview, and Keynote. Ensuring a consistent and polished output, I adhered to prescribed style formats, including Chicago style and internal guides. My commitment to accessibility involved refining alternative text and image metadata to enhance the inclusivity of content for diverse audiences.Beyond content creation, I proactively addressed performance issues within supported software and systems, guaranteeing a seamless user experience. Managing schedules and tracking project progress through Wrike, FileMaker Pro, and Apple Numbers, I maintained an organized and efficient workflow.In a dynamic and fast-paced environment, I thrived on delivering high-quality content and resolving challenges. Joining the Academy of Art University in 2004, I played an evolving-yet-pivotal role in expanding their on-campus BFA/MFA programs for the web. I led the creation of advanced coursework covering foundational art and design techniques, alongside essential computer applications like Adobe Creative Cloud, Autodesk's Maya, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ZBrush, JavaScript, and more.As the editor of the school's marketing site, I crafted news articles and interviews, showcasing the Academy's award-winning alumni and faculty. I collaborated with stakeholders to revamp program and policy content, optimizing for search engines during a major site overhaul.Returning to course production, I participated in the department's transition from written to video-based content. For over a decade as Captioning Manager, I oversaw the creation of video captions, alt-text, image-description metadata, transcripts, and video-description assets. I refined workflows using Python and VBA scripting, adopted new speech-to-text tools, and occasionally leveraged external vendors like 3PlayMedia and Rev.In a dynamic team environment, I utilized Adobe Experience Manager and D2L Brightspace LMS for content management, while Jira and Microsoft 365 ensured seamless collaboration. In my role as News Editor at Bio Online (or "bio.com"), beginning in 2000, I helped shape the digital narrative of a specialized biotechnology news portal.Bio Online catered specifically to bench scientists, offering a comprehensive platform with biotech news, interviews, analyses, and an online store featuring academic journals, laboratory protocols, and even lab equipment.My responsibilities spanned the creation and editing of diverse content types, including wire copy, industry analyses, expert interviews, and product descriptions for the online store. Beyond content creation, I took charge of order processing for the online store.A defining aspect of my role was the creation and distribution of a marketing newsletter. Leveraging MS Office and the Adobe suite, I strategically communicated key insights, industry updates, and promotional content, showcasing both my editorial skills and the ability to engage with a specialized audience.
