The purpose of my role is to deliver an independent and objective internal audit service to provide the Board Audit and Risk Committee and the Airservices Executive with assurance on the adequacy of governance, control and risk management activities related to the delivery of the OneSKY program. There is a strong organisational focus to ensure the success of the program in delivering the future capability for Airservices. The purpose of my Business Support Manager role was to facilitate the development and maintenance of the Air Traffic Control (ATC) Group’s integrated planning and reporting process along with performance management. The role required a good understanding of critical business issues and drivers in order to deliver continuous improvement within the ATC Group’s business processes and support services. The role required a strong service delivery ethic together with a strategic focus on systematic continuous improvement in business, resources and information management. The role was extremely varied and included:• Facilitating the development and maintenance of the ATC Group Integrated Business Plan and providing input into the Airservices Strategic and Corporate Planning process• Managing and refining the reporting process for annual, quarterly and monthly (internal and external) reporting of the ATC Group’s business performance against all performance indicators, focusing on productivity improvements• Reviewing and analysing existing ATC business management processes to identify, recommend and implement efficiency improvements and provide strategic business guidance• Coordinating ATC Group input for the Executive Committee and the Board• Coordinating the identification and management of risk in within the ATC Group and ensuring compliance with statutory and corporate requirements As well as performing the role above, I also led Airservices Red Tape Reduction initiative for six months which was part of the organisation’s Culture Program.

I was employed at FCE Bank plc (Ford Credit Europe - a wholly owned subsidiary of Ford Motor Company) and worked as an IT Infrastructure Supervisor.I led a team of up to eight full-time and agency staff members and was responsible for:- client security- IT Infrastructure projects (including process improvements and cost savings)- application packaging- second level operational support for IT infrastructure and finance applications- general team managementI supported 3,500 clients (PCs) in 59 Company locations across 19 countries.Client Security:To maintain client security, I was responsible for deploying Windows XP operating system upgrades, patches and other security tools to all locations. I coordinated testing with 20 line-of-business application teams and enforced strict change control procedures to ensure that only approved changes were implemented. I always took steps to ensure that the details of the changes were effectively communicated and that their impact on business operations was minimised. Specific tools launched were Utimaco SafeGuard PrivateCrypto, SafeGuard Easy, McAfee Antivirus and VeriSign.IT Infrastructure Projects:- XP Migration Project:I project managed a Windows XP Migration Program across all locations, involving upgrading the operating system from NT to XP; the network infrastructure from Token Ring to Ethernet; and refreshing all PC and server hardware. I conducted site surveys; analysed equipment requirements; liaised with hardware vendors; and coordinated XP compatibility testing for business applications. I also visited a number of sites to install new hardware, configure server security and migrate user and application data in a secure manner.
