I am a fully qualified domestic electrician. I have all the relevant City and Guilds qualifications and NEBOSH health and safety qualifications to allow me to carry out my work in an adequate and safe manner.I work with customers in domestic properties. I have experience in installing lighting circuits, radial circuits, ring main and replacing/installing distribution boards with the capacity to assess my own work. I have previous experience in diagnosing faults and resolving issues with domestic appliances such as tumble dyers, electric oven cookers and electric showers. I have a friendly and approachable attitude which helps to build a rapport with my customers, this allows me to fully understand their requirements and confirm they are happy with my work. I complete risk assessments to safeguard the work area. I also complete and record an inspection and test of the work completed to certify it is safe to energise and use.I have years of health and safety experience being a health and safety representative, I have completed risk assessments, accident reports and DSE workstation assessments. I have helped to investigate any accidents, near misses or hazards reported, ensuring that the relevant forms are being completed and the process is being adhered to. I also ensure welfare facilities are adequate and all relevant records are maintained and kept up to date. I help control and monitor the contractors on site ensuring they follow the correct health and safety procedures and submit sufficient and adequate documentation. I hold team meetings and toolbox talks, creating and modifying the sessions to make them more engaging and relevant. I have chaired safety committee meetings, where I updated the business with safety issues, accident/incident reports, share any employee concerns and discuss how we can maintain, update or modify the processes already in place.I was a union health and safety representative for two years and have completed TUC health and safety training courses which have helped further my education and qualifications.
