Spent the 23-24 academic year working at the after-school program at Flynn Elementary School in Burlington. I primarily chaperoned the 3rd-5th grade "active" group, providing mentorship and helping kids organize and take their own initiative for activities.

Parlayed a psychology lab studying the benefits of exercise for preschoolers into a part-time substitute paraeducator role. I am eternally grateful to BSD's Dept. of Early Education for giving me the flexibility to practice such a rewarding profession while balancing my studies.

Responsibilities included tracking stats live during games and in film, social media marketing, reservations and other operational duties, ad hoc office work, and more.

Assisted ASW director in curating multiple murals and art shows, as well as a number of events hosted at our gallery at the University Mall, which I also helped set up. Other work included finding new local artists to commission and using social media to build a consistent audience.

Semester-long internship; performed duties for production of live programming news segments, including but not limited to: sports journalism, TV script writing, copy editing, cursory research, graphic design, online content syndication, creation and publishing.

Focusing on content creation, social media/networking, design, community outreach, and sports psychology for Burlington, Vermont's first semipro soccer club. Eagerly examining methods of player evaluation in football (soccer) and comparing/contrasting to hockey. Invaluable experience in community building getting the chance to work for a club in its first year of existence. I encourage all who can to come to a game this summer!

Main responsibilities: hosting, busing tables, food running, cleaning up, dishwashing, and food preparation.

Moon Shots is a small, family-owned business in Guilford and Madison CT that focuses on creating and selling original juice recipes. My work was mostly labelling and filling juice bottles. I also cleaned, washed dishes, and helped make the juice itself by helping in the kitchen and measuring the proper ingredients for each beverage. I had worked only for my mom's estate sales business before this so this was my first job for a "real" boss. It taught me the importance of punctuality, communication, and always looking to make myself useful around the workplace.

I had the pleasure of working two summers for some great coaches and former players during this camp, including but not limited to CJ Marottolo at Sacred Hart, Bill Maniscalco now at Yale, and Josh Siembida, formerly at Yale. Even though the age groups were younger than what these coaches work with in-season, it was still apparent how well they taught fundamental hockey and life skills. I just tried to follow their example, and learned by experience how to work with young kids and help them better understand and appreciate a game that I love. Working with former teammates and opponents as fellow counselors was eye-opening too, because a lot of us went to the very same camp when we were the kids' age. Seeing how far we came, now being the "adults" in the room, gave me a lot of perspective.
