Remit to manage all satellite and telecommunication systems for a complex Defence blue chip organisation with dozens of major business units and more than 15,000+ staff across the Northern Territory, Queensland and New South Wales, during extensive periods of high operational tempo.Functionally responsible of communications planning, communication operations management, network management, fleet management, equipment maintenance, training, risk management, resource management, human resources, technical advice, project management, procurement, sustainment, compliance, corporate governance and management reporting.Managed numerous mobile telecommunications teams providing support to various domestic and foreign Defence operations around the world, including programs in Australia, the Middle East, East Timor and Solomon Islands.Key point of contact and escalation manager for major incidents on the operational Telecommunications networks. Responsible for ownership, management and guiding resolution of incidents to ensure the timely restoration of systems and services.
