Graphics Division Estimating Manager
CurrentOver 27 years of sales and manufacturing experience within the graphic arts industry. Strong knowledge of graphics, printing processes, color separations and manufacturing of retail display, as well as working with a variety of substrates including premium printing and commodity paper, corrugated, fomecor and plastics, with additional limited experience with photography and video. Highly motivated, organized and detail oriented with good communication and negotiation skills. Excellent customer relations and customer service skills with both the external and internal customer; strength in building long term relationships with clientele; strong closer and sensitive to budgets and time constraints.Responsible for training and managing a team of estimators for the all of the company’s accounts. Responsible for the origination of projects that come into the company and successfully coordinating all aspects of a project within all divisions of the company to maximize profitability. Responsible for making decisions on which print method, finishing and fabrication methods should be used for each unique project based on scope and size. With proper forethought up front from estimating team, project managers see increased profitability on projects with 10 to 15% that was not previously accounted for on their projects. Developed tracking system for follow up on estimates wins vs. losses and analyze what could have been done differently on the estimates or find out if it was for a different reason.
