Currently working not-quite full-time and currently in the Geoscience and Geospatial Systems sub-section of the Geological Survey of Victoria. My career job history started off some decades ago focused on low-level hardware oriented programming (Power-On Self Test programs, device drivers etc) in C and Assembly Languages and is now oriented around the World Wide Web and Enterprise Programming and Sys-Admin, predominantly in an Oracle environment.I'm probably a good example of what I euphemistically call 'lateral' career development (a valuable term to learn for when your career trajectory is sideways rather than upward)Aside from technical/engineering roles I've had stints as a Project Manager and in Customer Liason and as Site Representative.Living in Bayside, Melbourne, children now grown and all 3 at uni. Probably time to downsize from the quarter acre block.Filling out this work history is going to take a while. I'm rather long in the tooth.
