• Provide technical guidance and expertise for Energy Storage global business unit • Partner with New Account Managers to grow and develop customer interest and business in Energy Storage services • Effectively communicate with customers on technical topics and proposals to showcase CSA Group expertise with the goal of growing business revenue and interest • Represent CSA Group Energy Storage team at conferences, trade shows, customer visits, and prepared/presented webinars on Energy Storage team offerings • Work with cross function and cross organization team to develop strategy for increasing business offerings including assisting with the business case and identifying investments required • Collaborate with internal technical and business colleagues to solve complicated technical and business problems

• Function as lead technical engineer on energy storage projects with electric vehicle charger integration, utilized standards such as UL 2594, IEC 61851, and ISO 15118• Write system commissioning plans and perform integration design efforts and troubleshooting• Design, implement, and debug electrical control systems including ESS Energy Management Systems for multiple system component control• Present project prototype and articulate capabilities to company leaders and board of directors for project funding and staffing• Coordinate and lead team of engineers to develop project prototypes for proof of concept

• Function as lead verification and validation engineer for new lithium-ion battery modules• Create systems test plan based on user, regulatory, and functional requirements• Participate in design discussions and provide feedback on preliminary designs based on compliance requirements• Utilize scripting languages, such as Python, to automate test execution, data collection, and data analysis• Guide execution of compliance testing arising from UL, IEC, FCC, and CE marking directives both internally and with external labs• Serve as lead project engineer responsible for coordinating agencies to acquire certifications in a timely manner• Successfully obtained ISO 13849 certification for lithium-ion battery management system• Create system simulations to characterize and predict system behavior during application use

• Drive permitting and regulatory approvals at local, state, and utility level for battery energy storage systems• Lead compliance expert for all of engineering on projects such as lithium-ion battery packs, bi-directional inverters, and energy storage solutions• Provide guidance on applicable building codes such as the ICC and NFPA on energy storage for renewable energy systems• Serve as functional safety engineer for battery projects that require the use of a battery management system (BMS) utilizing ISO 26262, IEC 61508, and other functional safety standards• Involved in standards development processes for NFPA 855 and currently sitting on the Standards Technical Panel (STP) for UL 9540• Provide expert guidance on applicable product standards such as UL 1973, UL 2580, UL 1642, UL 991, UL 1998, and UL 9540

• Ensure products meet compliance to regulatory requirements such as NEC, UL, CSA, IEC, CE, NOM, FCC, CISPR • Lead a certification project from the beginning of new product development to product certification and market with speed and precision• Provide guidance for engineering team to interpret and communicate product standards and see how they apply to products and services• Participate in schematic reviews, PCB design reviews, and literature reviews• Write electrical construction detail files, test data packets, and other required documentation• Intercompany communication to resolve product issues and compliance violations• Extensive experience in EMI and EMC testing such as surge immunity, ESD immunity, conducted emissions, radiated emissions, etc. • Extensive experience in product safety testing to UL, IEC, and CSA safety standards (UL 508, UL 1472, UL 244A, UL 1917, UL 8750, and UL 1310)• Assist engineering product teams in giving feedback concerning EMI and EMC testing failures • Promote and influence culture change and organizational improvements• Recruit and screen talent to fill employee openings with the right people• Campus career fair and interviewing leader• Utilize effective troubleshooting skills to analyze product defects• Laboratory technician experience with advanced skills in data acquisition and analysis along with instrumentation utilization• Follow all laboratory procedures per ISO 17025• Advanced solder skills to rework both SMT and radial components• Follow all NFPA 70E regulations and stay up to date with safety training• Lead improvement projects totaling over $50,000 to laboratory equipment, design and manage projects to completion• Work efficiently to conduct agency and internal testing on electronic products in a timely manner• Communicate closely with project engineers and engineering managers
