I’m Michael Bennett, a U.S. Army combat veteran, seasoned leader, and accomplished writer with a strong foundation in resilience, team-building, and mental fortitude. Over my career, I’ve led organizations, built brands, and published works focusing on growth through mental strength and strategic leadership.During my military service from 2010 to 2016, I served as a Combat Medic with the U.S. Army, deploying to Afghanistan in 2012 with the 2/18 Infantry Battalion as part of Operation Enduring Freedom. My role included leading ground evacuation ambulance teams and field aid station operations, ensuring frontline medical care under intense conditions. While stationed at the 5th Ranger Training Battalion, I earned the Expert Field Medical Badge, along with advanced wilderness EMT, survival, and mountaineering training. My time in the Army included instructing BLS/CLS, overseeing physical fitness programs, and providing medical support in both field and formal settings, experiences that shaped my approach to leadership and personal resilience.After transitioning from the military, I leveraged my leadership abilities as the Vice President of Operations for the United States Powerlifting Coalition (2019-2022), where I helped build the organization into a national entity. My responsibilities ranged from social media strategy to event planning and brand growth, handling every aspect of our powerlifting meets from setup to execution, including data management, vendor coordination, and sponsor relationships.Currently, as a Board Director for Foreign United People, I support conflict-affected areas through advisory and operational roles. Since the organization’s early days as an NGO in Ukraine, I’ve led and organized supply and medical evacuation missions, collaborating closely with local officials and government agencies.In addition to my leadership roles, I’m a published author. My books, The Wilderness Within and Mama’s Boy, explore themes of mental strength, resilience, and healing, providing insights into overcoming adversity. I also contribute regularly to publications like The Palestine Project and The Wildcraft Way on Medium, as well as Warriors Truth on Substack, where I discuss veteran issues, mental health, and global affairs.I’m passionate about guiding others towards growth—whether through writing, mentorship, or strategic leadership.
