I moved into Finance at William Hill in October 2010 and my position was expanded to include:• The creation, maintenance and analysis of a competitor database containing the exact location of all of William Hill’s competitors.• Involvement in the Retail Finance Income Plan, estimating William Hill’s profitability for the coming year, split by business product.• The production of a Weekly Retail Report for Senior Management analysing the reasons for good and poor performance in the previous week.• The production of a large number of product-based reports for the monthly Finance Senior Management Report.

• The collection and analysis of weekly data from 1500 shops prior to the installation of EPoS systems in 2003.• The creation, maintenance and analysis of results databases for Horse Racing (over 200,000 races), Greyhound Racing (over 250,000 races) and Football (over 20,000 matches).• The administration of the shop bonus scheme and the calculation William Hill’s contribution to the horse racing levy scheme.• The collection and analysis of daily and weekly EPoS data from all shops• The creation of a wide variety of a large number of regular and ad hoc reports for Senior Management, including all reports on Fixed Odds Betting Terminals.• Creation of the current Greyhound Forecast and Tricast formulae used on every race in every shop in the country and helped to create the equivalent formulae for Horse Racing. Invention of a number of industry-wide bets such as the Greyhound Placer and the Football Scorecast plus other bets exclusive to William Hill.• The creation, maintenance and analysis of a competitor database containing the exact location of all of William Hill’s competitors.• Involvement in the Retail Finance Income Plan, estimating William Hill’s profitability for the coming year.• The production of a Weekly Retail Report for Senior Management analysing good and poor performance in the previous week.• The production of a large number of product-based reports for the monthly Finance Senior Management Report.
