I have come to that point in my life where retirement has been considered, however, I quickly learned how easily I get bored when I don't have something going on. My wife and I have traveled the central coast of California repeatedly over the last 15 years. We enjoy the scenery, giant oaks and gorgeous coastline. As a result we decided to purchase our "retirement home" near Paso Robles, California. Since my "fear of boredom in retirement" kicked in quickly, I decided to list this beautiful home as a short term vacation rental with Airbnb and VRBO. It turns out LOTS of people are wanting to tour the area and looking for a house to serve as home base while they investigate the 300+ wineries in the area as well as many other interests.
